We're very exciting about the imminent release of King by T.M. Frazier on Monday and to celebrate we have an interview and a Facebook flash giveaway to share with our followers! You can enter the Facebook giveaway here

Give us an insight into your main character, King. Wow. This is actually a really hard question because King is the most complex character I’ve ever written. I think when he’s younger he believes there is something fundamentally wrong with him, like he doesn’t have a conscious. Then when he meets Preppy it’s the first person he’s ever really connected with and cared about. When we meet him he’s just completed a three year stint in prison and throughout the book he is not only dealing with all that is going on around him but also his inner turmoil about who he is and what he wants out of life.

Which actor/actress would you like to see playing King and Doe? Honestly I think they would have to be unknowns because I can’t think of anyone that would be just right. Maybe Annasophia Robb for Doe but I really can’t think of anyone for King. Andree Katic is the model on my the cover of both KING and TYRANT. He would work physically of course, but he’s German and I think there might be a language barrier there. Lol

What made you decide to sit down and actually start writing King? Usually a story starts out in my head as one scene. Then I write it and the rest of the story around it. In The Dark Light of Day it was the rape scene. In King it was the scene where Doe is walking toward Kings room down the hall, then when she is on her knees in front of him…I won’t spoil the rest. ; )

What was the hardest thing about writing King? We don’t know a lot about Doe because without her memory she doesn’t know a lot about herself, so it was hard to make sure the readers could still connect with her while knowing any history of her life.

What book/s are you reading at present? I have an ARC of Priest that I am going to start as soon as I get Tyrant wrapped up and I am super excited, I’ve heard great things.

Tell us five things about yourself that you would like your readers to know. I’m not very interesting so this is a really hard one. So these are more like random facts about my books. #1-Preppy, Kings foul mouth best friend, started out as a voice in my head saying inappropriate things during the serious parts of the book. His voice got so loud that finally I made the voice a character and wrote him into the book. It’s the best decision I ever made. #2-For some reason in all my books there is a scene where they eat sandwiches. Lawless, out in December has one as well. I think I just really like sandwiches. #3-The cities, towns, and counties that I use in my books are not real, but they are based off of real places around where I live. Coral Pines in The Dark Light of Day is based off of Cape Coral, FL and Pine Island, FL. Logan’s Beach is the fictitious town where King and crew live (My husbands name is Logan) but is loosely based on Fort Myers Beach, FL. #4-As you can see from the last answer I use names of people I know for cities and characters. In KING Bear mentions members of his MC crew, Mono, Harris, Cash, & Tank, BJ & Jimmy. Cash and Tank are two of my dogs. Mono, Harris, Jimmy, & BJ are friends. I do this a lot so if you know me, check the book, your name might be in it! Lol #5- I have an abnormal obsession with my readers. I SUPER love them. I am a bigger fan of them than they could ever be of me. I’m a reader first before I’m a writer so of all the people in the world I feel like my readers understand me best.
